Starting at the right of the picture, No 103, the Westgate and Birchington Gas and Water Company showroom was taken over by the South Eastern Gas Board. It later became a children's clothing shop Kiddycare, then Birchington Suit Hire, and from 2007 BETFRED, the betting shop.
Thanet Chambers was the office of solicitors Girling, Wilson and Harvie. It became Clarke and Crittenden, estate agent in 2001.
Barclays Bank remained.
