Sutcliffes, the ironmongers,became Bomar Fabrics in the 1970's - it has since been a Fancy Dress Costume shop, Capones, a restaurant and the Royal Dragon, a Chinese restaurant.

Widdows Stationers became a bakers in the early 1970's - It has been Alba Bakery, Champs and Village Bakery.
